Eureka!!!!!

No, literally. As in, that's where I'm going to be this week.

Eureka, CA!

I am attending the Humboldt County Author Festival in Eureka this Saturday. All of the details can be found on their website, HERE!!! There will also be 24 other amazing authors and you can find those names on the website as well.

I don't make it to Northern California very often (almost never) so if you are in the area, please, please, please come see me!!

Particularly special is that Humboldt County is where the Wings series is set! In fact, after my school visits one of the days I'm there I am going out to see Orick, where the gate to Avalon is!!!! Think I'll find it??:D

But seriously, if you are in Humboldt County, consider stopping by. It will be a very open format so this is a great time for you to come chat with me, ask me questions, torture me for spoilers, etc.

Please come!!!!

Ciao!

Of course! Now it all makes sense. Eureka (the Sci-Fi channel version) is the way it is, not because of all that technology, but because it's Avalon-adjacent!

:-P

Sounds like a fun time, too bad Cali is so far from Texas.

I would LOVE to come see you! (and possibly the entry way to Avalon) but alas I live too far away! I do love northern Cal though...

It's official. My life-long dream as of this moment is to visit a place called "Eureka". BUT, if that is not an option, a place called Archimedes will do.
The event sounds great. Do you think clicking my heels three times will get me to the other side of the country?
Enjoy your event, Aprilynne! :)

Hi!
I just came back from a PTA meeting where a teacher had requested monies for purchasing your books for students. Monies were allocated if the series meets with the library review which since it's in our public library system it most certainly would meet with the school's library criteria.

I am writing to you to see if you would be willing to donate 1 or more of your books to our book fair that will be held in early December. If you can do this or send any little freebies that would be super!!

Please email me at zackandbensmommy@yahoo.com

I just can't stop wishing for more. When I read Wings, it was like eating a box of chocolates. One side of you says, "I really want to devour all of it." While the other side says, "I don't want this sensation to end!" I kept retracing the best parts.... I just can't wait for more chocolate, now named as DESTINED.

Shoot! I live way too far away! I would do anything to get sneak peeks at DESTINED. Just wondering, but will you come around the Midwest Region? Near Chicago? And also, does DESTINED have to be the ending of the faeries' story? If it is, I hope you at least write another series of books like the Wings series.

Avalon may be set in Orick but I wouldn't state that your series is set in Humboldt county. I'd say more than half the action is in Crescent City which is in Del Norte County, with a little of the troll action being in Brookings which is in Chetco.

Did you find the gates? There is a place near Orick that I always imagine are the grove of trees to go through before going to the gates. There is also a house that I see, not really near those trees unfortunately, that remind me of Laurel's cabin in Orick. It was so awesome to meet you, and I'm glad you were able to come this way!
