Helping Husband

Hey everyone. This is Kenny--for those who don't know, I'm Aprilynne's husband. She's hip-deep in the final round of copyedits for Destined and putting together another series for your reading enjoyment (plus all the usual mundane stuff she accomplishes as a mom every day), but she apologizes for the long blog silence. If you just can't live without a daily dose of Aprilynne--and who can blame you, I know I can't!--you might check out her twitter, which she updates a little more often because she can do it from her phone.

For those of you who have been patiently checking back, though, here's some more cover art (especially of interest to those of you across the pond):

That's right, the UK and US editions will be back to having the same title! So that will hopefully cut back on some of the confusion we've had about Illusions / Wild.

Also, Aprilynne and a bunch of her author friends recently threw a big party for some of the librarians of the Phoenix-metro area. You can read all about it on Lisa McMann's blog. It was a fabulous event and if you happen to have media connections, why, you might want to write about it. Great piece for the Arts page, don't you think?

I think that's all the news for now. Sorry I'm not my lovely and fabulously-talented wife, who probably would have made this whole post much more entertaining. We now return you to your irregularly-scheduled-actual-author-blog... d^_^b

Cheers--

I'm so glad I'm in the UK and get all these shiny covers! They all match so well and look so very fairytale-ish! Love it!

I can honestly say I do not remember why I started following this blog but I am glad I did. I have been looking for something new to read. I have just downloaded the Wings book on my Nook Color. I look forward to the read. Also, how nice of you to post for your wife. I hope everything goes off without a hitch with the new release....nice cover art btw. :)

Well, that's the role of a spouse, right? To support each other. Looks like you're doing a fine job of it. Thanks for the update :-)

Is a movie the result of your hard work? Or is nothing going to happen. I once heard it would be out in fall of 2011. But sadly that is not what has happened =( Can someone fill me in?

To be truthful - I actually prefer the blue cover art. Anywho... I wasn't able to catch the release date of Destined (for the US) - I'm kinda being a little on edge for the next book. Mrs. Pike, PLEASE RELEASE IT SOON!!!!!!!!! I'm DYING to know what happens with Laurel and Tamani (I hope they end up together!), I'm kinda wishing that Chelsea and David will get together, and I hope that Yuki turns out to be a good Wildflower (good in the sense that she won't be an irresponsible Winter faerie). Oh and I also hope that we (the readers) can finally figure out Klea's true identity, and why Laurel doesn't trust her. Part of me is thinking that Klea really is a troll, and like Barnes, a not too badly misshappen troll, and part of me is thinking that she's some other weird yet-to-be-named creature. Please, Mrs. Pike, YOU CAN'T LEAVE US HANGING AT THE END OF BOOK 3 AND NOT EXPECT US TO GO BALISTIC WITH ANXIETY FROM WAITING FOR BOOK 4!!!!! PUBLISH SOON!!!!

Thanks for helping her out so we can have a fun reading experience :) Your wifes stories are one of my favorites (her stories and Harry Potter are the two on the list) And so I wanted to say thanks for that . Have fun!

Wait, you mean she's writing a NEW series about fae in the wild?! Perfect! This way we can understand Yuki and Kayle as wild fae. After ILLUSIONS, I've been DYING to find out more of the wild fae. It had a really dramatic, cliffhanger ending.
